Pretty rows of tulips

I'm finally updating this blog! And I decided that my old entries were too serious and just not me. Hopefully this will be more entertaining to read while still being as informative.

I made this blanket quite a while ago for my niece Opal. She's about 9 months old now and I finally took pictures and shipped it off to her. Yea, Procrastination! I used ivory yarn for the background and light sage for the flower stems. I don't remember what colors I used for the actual flowers. They were ends left from other projects.
I fell in love with this pattern (another Coats & Clark creation) and couldn't wait to make it. As you can see, the little flowers are actually tulips. So ingenous! I altered the dimesions a little to make it a baby blanket instead of a full afghan and changed the edging a tiny bit. The final measurements are about 30" by 35.5". My apologies for the flash in some of these pictures. By the time I finally took the pictures, it was too cloudy to get good sunshine. That's what I get I suppose.
